Who’s right? Palestinians or Israeli Jews? Who has the better claim to the land?

I’m answering the question, who’s right, the Palestinians or the Israeli Jews!? More specifically, today, who has a better claim to the land of Palestine, Judea, and Israel? Who has a better claim to that strip of land below Lebanon, to the southwest of Syria, to the left of Jordan, and to the east of Egypt? Obviously, this is a complex question with many gray areas, but ultimately, considering multiple factors, who has the better claim?

Several factors can increase a group’s claim. Here are the key ones I’ll be focusing on:

· Who was there first?

· How did the groups acquire the land?

· Population exchanges

· How long have they governed it?

· What have they done with it while they’ve been in power?

· If a new group was to come to power, what would they likely do?

· What are the other options for the nations involved?

Who had the land first among the current claimants has an obvious appeal because they could be said to have original ownership.
